The past few months have certainly passed quickly, marked by the holiday season and various festivities. Individuals had the opportunity to celebrate with family, friends, staff, and one another.
We were once again fortunate to receive generous donations of Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners for our homes from the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank. This partnership has been invaluable to us over the years.
On December 10th, we held our annual Holiday Party at Harvest Fields in Boalsburg. A special thanks to the efforts of volunteers Linda and Dale Walker, who graciously cooked the turkeys, and the homes that contributed side dishes, we had a wonderful holiday meal. Residents and staff came together to celebrate and enjoy each other's company. We were also delighted by a visit from Santa, who brought a gift for each individual. It truly was a festive occasion for all involved!
With the start of the new Penn State semester, some favorite activities will resume, including Art Class, Best Buddies, and Harmony. Special Olympics bowling and track and field sports will also begin. These programs provide valuable opportunities to stay engaged during the colder months as we look forward to the warmer weather ahead.
As we enter 2025, we are preparing for Performance-Based Contracting, with plans to submit our information in February and an anticipated start date of July 1. Additionally, we will continue our Family Forum meetings, with a date to be announced in March 2025. Further information will be forwarded to you in February.
Here’s to a successful and opportunity-filled 2025 as Strawberry Fields continues to pave a bright path for the future.
