Residential Homes
Strawberry Fields, Inc. provides licensed community homes for individuals with intellectual disabilities in small residential settings, serving one to three individuals in each home. The homes are designed to provide each individual with a community setting to experience and learn basic life skills. Dedicated Direct Support Professionals encourage and assist individuals to achieve greater independence, opportunities for growth, and increased involvement within their community. SFI addresses the unique needs of individuals with intellectual disabilities and assists them to reach their fullest potential. The primary goal is to enhance the quality of life for each individual by providing opportunities for community integration.
Independence
Residential Services are provided to protect the health and welfare of the individuals living at the home by assisting them in acquiring, retaining, and improving self-help, socialization, and adaptive skills necessary to reside successfully in their home and community. Individuals are encouraged to be as independent as possible and receive support based on their needs and choices. The purpose is to support people to grow and develop, to make their own decisions, to achieve their personal goals, to develop relationships, and to enjoy life as participating valued members of their community.
Services may be provided up to twenty-four hours a day based on the needs of the individual. It includes transportation to and from day or employment services in addition to accessing community resources.
