Mental Health Services

Strawberry Fields, Inc. provides several services for children and adults with mental illness. We offer a Residential Program for adults, and Intensive Case Managements Services for both children and adults.

The Strawberry Fields Residential Program provides a service for eleven individuals in the State College area. Each individual has their own bedroom and lives with one or two roommates. Trained staff are on-site and available 24 hours/7 days a week. This group setting is designed to ease the feelings of isolation and to provide support, companionship and opportunities for growth and development.

Intensive Case Management is provided by trained professionals to approximately 48 Centre County children with mental health concerns. These individuals range in age from 5 to 18. The case manager works with the child, the parents, mental health system and schools to offer individualized services for each child. Case managers meet with the children and their families at home, in schools and other community settings.

SFI also provides Intensive Case Management to approximately 60 adults, over the age of 18 who live in their own homes. The goal of Adult Intensive Case Management is to provide a bridge between individuals with mental illness and the community. Adult Intensive Case Management assists people in strengthening their independence through accessing community resources, mental health treatment and rehabilitation services. Intensive case managers act as mediators and advocates in assuring individuals are provided with the community services they need. In this program, individuals identify life goals and staff help them to clarify their vision, and break down goals into manageable steps.
