Many organizations are fortunate to have volunteers who give unselfishly of their time. Those volunteers work side by side with staff members, giving of their resources and talents, in order to fulfill the mission of the organization.

Then there are volunteers who have spent years serving an agency and are so deeply committed to the agency’s staff, consumers, and mission, that they become an integral part of the organization. Their dedication and level of expertise are unquestionable and the imprint they leave on the organization, undeniable.

Strawberry Fields, Inc. is proud to have such an individual in Robert M. Stern.

Robert Stern first joined Strawberry Fields in 1978 as a member of the Board of Directors. Bob’s influence helped guide the direction and growth of the agency, leading them from a small farm in Yarnell to the vibrant agency they are today, serving over 450 individuals and their families and employing more than 150 staff and professionals. Bob served as Board President from 1982 to 1987 and continues his roles as mentor and guide.

Strawberry Fields is extremely pleased to introduce the Robert M. Stern Fund in honor of this outstanding contributor, mentor, and friend. The fund is intended to provide support to Strawberry Fields staff and consumers through staff training and continuing education.
